The Role

As Chief of Staff, you will work closely with the CEO and executive team to drive the next phase of finova’s growth. You will support the CEO in defining, delivering and tracking progress against their short- and long-term priorities. You will take direct responsibility for executing against strategic transformation priorities. You will also support in defining and maintaining a scalable Operating Model for the business, including organisation structure, business processes (e.g., OKRs) and regular reporting.

This role is designed to be a stepping stone for developing and launching future leaders within the organisation.

About You:

In terms of your experience, your attitude is everything, but we'd particularly love to see:

  • 5+ years of experience, preferably a combination of top-tier management consulting/financial services and time as an operator
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strategic thinker and analytical in your approach to developing strategies
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Self-starter that can identify and prioritize opportunities to focus on
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills – able to articulate complex problems at different levels of detail
  • Technology, financial services, and/or experience in a private-equity backed environment is advantageous
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

What will you be doing?

  • Support the CEO and executive team to define business strategy and execute their transformation agenda, working closely with our investors where needed
  • Attend key meetings with the CEO and wider members of the business, capture key objectives and actions and follow up with senior managers in the business, as the CEO’s proxy, to ensure activities / actions are being followed
  • Work with the CEO, and other members of the exec team, on developing and refining collateral across the business
  • Collaborate with the executive team to identify and monitor OKRs and KPIs
  • Use data to identify opportunities to improve business performance
  • Scope and personally deliver special projects across a range of topics (e.g., growth, cost, org structure, M&A), working closely with the CEO
  • Manage cross-functional stakeholders to ensure they are well-informed of their roles in each project, negotiate timelines, and ensure timely project delivery
  • Own key business processes (e.g., OKR setting)
  • Create and maintain materials for regular business reviews, highlighting progress, risks and dependencies
  • Act as a sounding board to working-level teams, helping them to resolve inefficiencies and keep projects on track
  • Drive organisational effectiveness, ensuring that meetings are productive and that follow-up happens in a timely way
